Canadian Adaptive and Stereotactic Radiotherapy Association (CASRA) Officially Launches

New National Association Created to Advance Excellence in Adaptive and Stereotactic Radiotherapy Across Canada

The Canadian Adaptive and Stereotactic Radiotherapy Association (CASRA) is proud to announce its official launch as Canada's national professional organization dedicated to advancing adaptive radiotherapy, stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT/SABR), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and emerging precision radiation treatment technologies.

CASRA was established following the tremendous success of the SABR Canada Conferences held in 2022 and 2025 in Kelowna, BC. These landmark events brought together radiation oncologists, medical physicists, radiation therapists, researchers, trainees, industry partners, and healthcare leaders from across Canada and abroad to share knowledge, innovation, and best practices in modern radiation oncology.

The enthusiastic participation and collaboration demonstrated during these conferences highlighted the need for a permanent national organization focused on supporting education, innovation, and professional development in adaptive and stereotactic radiotherapy.

"CASRA represents the natural evolution of the SABR Canada community," said the Association's founding leadership. "Our goal is to create a national forum where healthcare professionals can collaborate, learn, and advance the delivery of precision radiotherapy for the benefit of patients across Canada."

As a national association, CASRA will provide opportunities for networking, education, research collaboration, mentorship, and the dissemination of best practices while helping to foster excellence in patient care.

The organization welcomes members from all disciplines involved in radiation oncology and precision radiotherapy.
